Jumper description
12. UART selection jumper cap
A:USB to serial port control L76B
B:Raspberry Pi controls L76B
C:USB to serial port to access Raspberry Pi
Standby mode:Use the STANDBY switch to make the module enter the standby mode, which is a low power consumption mode. In standby mode, the module stops satellite search and navigation, no positioning information (NMEA message) is output, but it can be accessed through PMTK commands or any other data.
Backup mode:Press FORCE ON to exit the backup mode. Compared with standby mode, the power consumption in backup mode is lower. In the backup mode, the module will stop acquiring and tracking satellites. UART1 is not accessible. However, the backup memory in the RTC domain (including all GPS information and a few user configuration variables required for quick start) is obtained. Support EASYTM self-generated orbit prediction function, which can realize fast positioning. In this mode, the current of the module is about 7uA. In backup mode, the only way to wake up is to pull the FORCE_ON pin high
CAT24C32:The function of this chip is to provide an ID EEPROM for the Raspberry Pi (including vendor information, GPIO mapping and valid device tree information). The purpose of adding this is because of the micro-HAT (uHAT) specification introduced by Raspberry Pi (specific reference). To ensure consistency and compatibility with future Raspberry Pi add-on boards, and provide a better user experience.
Note:we have not used it here, don’t bother
