Maximum power points tracking (MPPT) of solar cells is to ensure that photovoltaic cells always output maximum power when the light intensity changes, so as to make full use of solar energy. In general, the MPPT function needs to be realized by using a switch-mode DC-DC converter to maximize the product (output power) of the output voltage and the charging current.
The maximum power points tracking function of photovoltaic cells is realized by switching step-down mode dc-DC conversion. Its input voltage careach up to 28V, which is very suitable for applications with large difference between input voltage and battery voltage.
