Function
The board is equipped with a gas discharge tube. The gas discharge tube is composed of a pair of cold cathode plates which are separated from each other and enclosed in a ceramic tube filled with a certain inert gas (Ar).
The gas discharge tube is turned off under normal operating conditions, and its interelectrode resistance is above the megaohm level. When the surge voltage exceeds the withstand voltage of the circuit system, the gas discharge tube was breakdown and the arc discharge phenomenon occurs. Because the arc voltage is low, it is only several tens of volts, which can limit the further rise of the surge voltage in a short time.
The gas discharge tube uses the above principle to limit the surge voltage, and discharges the overcurrent and limits the overvoltage to the circuit.
Working Principle
When the power is turned on, power is supplied to the load through a negative temperature coefficient thermistor, as the thermistor temperature increases, the resistance drops, the voltage rises slowly, thus effectively inhibiting the inrush current impact on the line and other electrical appliances. About 2 seconds after the relay ttracts gathers (Adjustable suction time, see the picture for details), short circuit thermistor, the power supply through the relay contacts directly to the load, the load into the normal working condition.
Convenient Use
This board uses ultra-high current (100A) pure copper lead relays and large thermistor NTC 20D-20, the effective protection of the machine, to prevent excessive power-on current.
The board does not need auxiliary power supply, only two terminals, one is power supply input, the other is load output, very easy to use.
