‘FT232 EVAL BOARD’ is an FT232 evaluation board designed based on USB TO UART, which is a solution of USB to serial port.
· FT232 Introduction
The main models of FT232 are:FT232BL, FT232RL. This development board uses original FT232RL.
FT232 basic properties
· A dedicated chip to convert RS232, RS422, RS485 signals into USB signals.
· FT232RL integrates EEPROM, which can be used for IO configuration and storage of USB VID, PID, serial number and product description information.
FT232BL has no internal EEPROM.
· Integrated level shifter, making its I/O port level support a wide range of 5V-2.8V.
· Strong I/O pin drive capability, can drive multiple devices or long data lines.
· Integrated power-on reset circuit.
· It can generate clock by itself without external crystal clock.
· Integrated power supply decoupling RC circuit.
